Raiders keep on rolling

Raider Boys Basketball travelled to Manson and Tonasket last week and continued to win. With the wins the Raiders are one step closer to sealing up second in the North.

Now Lake Roosevelt needs to come away with a win this week to secure the number-two seed from the North and face Kittitas in Eastmont Middle School starting at 6:45 p.m. Feb. 10 for the first round of the district tournament.

At Manson Jan. 26, the Raiders did not allow the Trojans the opportunity to upset them. LR took control of the game and came away with a 29-point win, 62-33.

Then at Tonasket last Friday, the Raiders came away with another big win over the lowly Tigers. LR jumped out early and the Tigers never had a chance of getting back into the game. The decisive-score Raider win tallied at 78-39.

This week in the final games of the regular season, the Raiders will take on the number-one team in 2B and a team looking to upset. Last night was Senior Night at Gailord Nelson Gym against the Brewster Bears. Brewster had yet to lose, and the Raiders had provided the closest game of the season for the Bears last month.

Tomorrow at Okanogan, the Raiders will be facing a Bulldog team looking for an upset. This has been a down year for the Bulldogs, and for their Senior Night they will be wanting to go on with a win. Game time at Okanogan is 7:30 p.m.
