Raider golf competed in the second match of the season last night in Oroville against the Hornets and the Okanogan Bulldogs, after the Raiders had a week to refine their skills from the first match in Moses Lake.
Head Coach Steve Files reported the scores from that March 14 match, which he received last week from the Moses Lake Christian coach.
The Raiders played a nine-hole, par-36 round represented by four boys and no girls. The number -one finishers of the day were both from MLCA; the boys’ medalist was Noah Torres at 48 strokes, and the girls’ medalist was Isabella Murrell, with 63 strokes.
The leader for the Raiders was Sophomore Dylan Steinert, who finished the round in 66 strokes.
Steinert was followed closely by fellow sophomores Alan Nordine and Lucas Bird. Nordine finished the round at 67, while Bird had 68 strokes on the day. Freshman Levi Bob finished the day with 82 strokes.
Tomorrow, the Raiders will travel to Warden to take on the Cougars at the Warden Golf Course. Tee time is at 2:30 p.m., weather permitting.
