Ready to rodeo

Queen Claire Ives, center, and princesses Joy Abrahamson, left, and Jayda Taylor, right, will preside over the Nespelem Junior Rodeo this Saturday and Sunday, starting at 10 a.m. each day. Ives, 13, attends Okanogan Middle School and has been in rodeo since the age of 2. Abrahamson, 15, of Disautel, is a freshman at Omak High School and travels throughout the state to rodeo. Taylor, 10, is in fourth grade at Omak Elementary and a competitor in five junior rodeo events.
