Updated: Two Soap Lake shooting suspects at large after two narrowly escape injury

Update: One of two suspects in a Soap Lake shooting turned himself in to authorities Sunday night, the Grant County Sheriff's Office said Monday morning.

Tomas Miguel Lopez turned himself in about 7 p.m., was interviewed and booked into Grant County Jail.

The sheriff's office said they still are seekng information about a second suspect and that tipsters can remain anonymous.

Two people narrowly escaped serious injury after two men reportedly started shooting at them in their vehicle in Soap Lake at approximately 10:20 p.m. last night, the Grant County Sheriff's Office said Sunday.

The two suspects were reportedly driving in a vehicle that came to a stop in front of the victim's vehicle near Fern Street and Main in Soap Lake. Both men got out, and fired multiple gunshots toward the victims' vehicle, GCSO reported.

A 16-year-old boy sustained minor injuries and was taken to Columbia Basin Hospital in Ephrata. He was treated and released. Another victim, a woman, was not injured.

One of the suspects, still at large, has been identified as Tomas Miguel Lopez, 23.

He is described as an Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet, 1 inch tall, and approximately 180 pounds. The public is asked to call 911 if he is seen.

Information on the other male in the suspect vehicle is not yet known. Anyone who may have information is asked to contact the Grant County Sheriff's Office at 509-762-1160, or send information to crimetips@grantcountywa.gov. Reference case number 16GS09881. Tipsters can remain anonymous.

Grant County Sheriff's Office major crime unit is conducting the investigation.
