Eleanor Barry Trefry passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 27, 2016, with her family by her side. Eleanor was born May 30, 1924, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, to William and Columbia Barry.

Eleanor was raised and studied in Coeur d' Alene, where she graduated high school. On October 10, 1946, Eleanor married her soul mate and love of her life, Cecil Trefry. The two lived their entire lives together on the Trefry Ranch and homestead. When they retired, they spent their time in Manson, Washington, overlooking Lake Chelan.

Eleanor was always active. She was a member of the Del Rio Women's Club, the Douglas Co. Homemakers, and the Del Rio Grange. She was initiated into the PEO Chapter GR, and later transferred to a Yakima chapter. Eleanor was a perfectionist as a seamstress and taught tailoring classes to anyone who was interested. One of her favorite pastimes was judging competitions in county fairs and the state grange competition. Eleanor was very talented with her hand-embroidery work. Eleanor and Cecil were well known for their involvement in the community and countless hours of volunteer work. She was the proudest grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters: Alice Hotchkiss and Naomi Wynhoff; and her grandson, Troy Trefry.

She is survived by her son, William (Karen) Trefry; grandchildren: Lori (Dave) George, Kyle (Nicole) Trefry, Katrina (Kevin) Zoch, and eight great-grandchildren.
