Virginia "Ginny" D. Canterbury (Ferguson)

Virginia "Ginny" D. Canterbury (Ferguson) born March 14, 1938, of Wilbur, Washington, passed away peacefully Dec. 2, 2016, in Spokane, Washington. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Ginny, or "Fergie" as she was known, graduated from Coulee Dam High School in 1956. Ginny enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved nature. She loved to garden and often commented she "talked to worms" while gardening. She loved all animals, and always had a dog as her constant companion. She had a special fondness for horses, too. She was a talented artist and her paintings most often included horse scenes. Best of all, Ginny had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh!!! Her sense of humor remained intact during her battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Ginny leaves behind daughter Tana McGuire (Terry Pemberton), DuPont, Washington; son, Todd Fancher (Jennifer Fancher), Grand Coulee; granddaughters: Courtney McGuire, Tacoma, Washington; Kobi Morris and Tori Johnson, Spokane, Washington.

Ginny was preceded in death by sons Tony Fancher and Troy Fancher.

A special thanks to Ginny's caregivers Desiree, Colleen and Janae, of Heritage Haven, Spokane.
