Raymond R. "Ray" Estrada

Raymond R. "Ray" Estrada, 72, passed away in Coulee Dam, Washington, Wednesday morning, March 1, 2017. Born October 11, 1944, in Riverside, California, to Ramon Garcia and Margaret Ramos-Estrada, Ray was raised in Mira Loma, California. April 9, 1983 Ray married the love of his life – Carol Ann Landers in Reno, Nevada. Always a hard worker, Ray retired as a construction foreman, and he and Carol moved to the coulee area about nine years ago to spend time fishing. Ray – "Shrek" to his family, loved dirt biking in the dunes and 4-wheelin' with his family and friends, camping, traveling to and competing in bass tournaments with Carol, road trips together in their motorhome and hanging out with friends.

Over the last few years Ray rarely missed Senior Tuesday at the Coulee Dam Casino. One of his life's greatest joys occurred two years ago, when the social media enabled Carolyn, the wife of Ray's adult son, John, in California to contact Ray for the first time. This meeting between father and son led to joyful reunions of the entire family and visits between Coulee Dam and California – including a family trip to Disneyland.

Predeceased by both of his parents; daughter, Jamie Breckenridge; sister, Gloria Koostra and granddaughter, Taylor Landers; Ray's legacy lives on through his loving wife of 33+ years, Carol Estrada; children: John Richard Fury (Carolyn), Aric Landers (Jeralyn) and Raymond Richard Estrada; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters: Sally Bonnillas, Shirley Erdhadrt (Clair) and Juanita Roberts; as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

At Ray's request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at the Grand Coulee Eagles, 122 B Street, Grand Coulee, Washington, at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2017.

The family requests that donations be made in Ray's memory to the charity of one's choice, which will "Help the Underdog" – ones who can most use it.
