New queen crowned

Tryouts for the 2018 Colorama Rodeo Queen were held at the Ridge Riders Arena in Grand Coulee, on Saturday, October 7.

The two candidates, Jessie Walker and Joy Abrahamson, had to complete a horsemanship pattern, interview with a panel of judges, complete a flag entry run and grand entry run, answer impromptu questions, and give a prepared speech. Both candidates were well prepared and did a great job competing. Jessie Walker was crowned our 2018 Colorama Rodeo Queen!

Jessie is the daughter of Doc Walker and Polly Peasley. We wish her the best in her reign and are excited for what 2018 has in store for her.
