FINAL 2018 BUDGET
PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the FINAL 2018 Budget Public Hearing will be held by the GRAND COULEE CITY COUNCIL, in the council chambers, 306 Midway Avenue, on December 19, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. All interested persons will be given the opportunity to provide both written and oral comments on the 2018 budget at said public hearing. The council chamber is handicap accessible. Arrangements to reasonably accommodate the needs of special classes of citizens, including handicap accessibility or interpreter, will be made upon receiving seventy-two (72) hour advance notice. ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
STREET & SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Coulee Dam, Washington, at City Hall located at 300 Lincoln Ave., Coulee Dam, WA 99116 until 1:00 p.m. on January 16, 2018 and will then and there be opened and publicly read aloud.
The improvements for which bids will be received are generally described below:
This project will provide the grind and 2” overlay of Cedar St., Civic Way, Tulip St., and Crest Dr., as well as:
Approximately 2,100 feet of cement concrete curb
Sidewalk and curb ramp improvements
Reconstruction of the intersections of Pine St and Civic Way, and Crest and Central Drives
Installation of two solar-powered radar speed signs

All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Coulee Dam.
Contract documents may be obtained from Varela and Associates, Inc., located at 601 W. Mallon, Suite A, Spokane, Washington 99201 upon payment of $30.00. Contract documents are on file for inspection at the Coulee Dam City Hall. The project is being funded by the Transportation Improvement Board funds 6-E-878(006)-1.
The City of Coulee Dam is in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color or national origin in consideration for an award.

Grant County Conservation District
PUBLIC NOTICE
A poll-site election for a board seat on the Grant County Conservation District will be held on February 13, 2018 at Grant County Conservation District, 1107 S Juniper Drive, Moses Lake, WA 98837. Polls will open at 8:30 AM and close at 12:30 PM. Registered votes who reside within the Conservation District boundary are eligible to vote. Candidates must be a registered voter residing in the conservation district, and may be required to own land or operate a farm. The candidate filing deadline is January 16, 2018, by 4:30 p.m. Elections procedures are available at the district office.
