Two jailed in Grand Coulee drug bust Friday

A Grand Coulee man and woman were jailed Friday and more arrests were expected after a search warrant served on a home yielded meth and heroin, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Grant County’s Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team (INET), the Moses Lake Regional Tactical Response Team (TRT), and Grand Coulee Police raided the home at 212 Dill Avenue early Friday morning. There, they found meth, heroin, scales and packaging materials, a GCSO press release said.

Michael Capshaw, 36, was arrested at the home and is lodged in the Grant County Jail on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to deliver. Angelette Obendorf, 38, was at the home and was jailed on an unrelated outstanding warrant.

The investigation spanned four months and was prompted by a complaint from a citizen about suspicious activity at the home. During the investigation, INET made several controlled drug buys, which gave investigators the probable cause they needed to get the search warrant, GCSO said.

“We rely on the partnerships with citizens so we can focus on possible criminal activity, and through those partnerships, we help make our communities safer,” said Sheriff Tom Jones.

The investigation continues and more arrests are expected.

Obendorf was still listed as an inmate at the jail on Tuesday evening. Capshaw was not.
