Coulee Dam
7/9 - An officer investigating a report of a .22 caliber gun being fired on River Drive instead found someone using a high-powered air rifle to shoot at gophers in the backyard.
7/11 - An officer took a form to an out-of-town victim of car theft so she would be able to report her vehicle stolen.
- A driver on Lone Pine Road was told that his clocked speed of 73 miles per hour was “a little excessive” for the 35 mph zone. The driver was issued a citation for speeding.
7/12 - A burglar alarm was set off by a door not being closed all the way at the National Park Service headquarters on Crest Drive.
- A noise complaint at Cole Park was addressed when the driver of a van playing loud music was informed the park is closed after dark and left the area.
7/13 - An officer witnessed a dog charge a mail carrier on River Drive. The mail carrier fell in her retreat from the charging dog. The officer contacted the dog owner about the situation.
7/14 - A woman wanted on a warrant was taken from the casino to Disautel Pass. A deputy from the Okanogan County Sheriff’s Office took her the rest of the way to jail.
- A man locked himself out of his hotel room when he went to watch the laser light show on the dam. No one was at the hotel to assist. An officer removed a window screen and opened the window. The man was able to provide a receipt for the room with a name that matched the name on his identification.
7/18 - A man requesting a ride to Nespelem was taken to the Trading Post by an officer.
7/20 - Police investigated a report of a male trying to lure girls into his pickup truck while the girls walked down Central Drive. The officer passed the information of the vehicle on to other agencies.
7/21 - A woman requesting a ride from the casino to Elmer City was told by an officer that she would have to provide her name. After doing so, the officer found the woman was wanted on arrest warrants and took her to Okanogan County Jail. She also had a pipe on her with residue consistent with methamphetamine, and she displayed behavior consistent with the drug.

7/17 - Owners of loose horses south of Electric City were able to round up the animals before requiring police assistance.
7/18 - A Coulee Dam driver was pulled over on Midway Avenue for having a tail light and brake light out. She was cited for driving with a suspended license and for failure to transfer the title of the vehicle within 45 days.
- Police were unable to locate a suspicious person in the Electric Boulevard area who was supposedly talking to himself or herself while walking down the street.
7/19 - A driver pulled over at the the overlook area just above Grand Coulee Dam was issued a citation for failure to renew the registration of the vehicle, which she explained was her aunt’s.
- An Electric City woman was taken to Grant County Jail, charged with domestic violence, for allegedly being physically abusive to an Electric City man.
- Police investigated a report of a woman yelling while walking down Kelso Avenue in Electric City. Police located her at a residence where her boyfriend is staying in a tent. The woman told police all she wanted was to have sex. The officer told her that she had to keep it down and can’t be yelling about such things without disturbing people.
- A dog jumped a fence on Roosevelt Drive and reportedly attacked a man and his dog. The owner was cited for failure to register the dog with the city. The officer observed the dog to be friendly and playful, and reported that no other incidents had occurred with the dog in the past.
7/20 - A vehicle owner moved a vehicle from a handicapped-accessible spot on Main Street.
- A “combative patient” at Coulee Medical Center was taken to Coulee Dam Casino at her request by an officer. The patient had been taken to CMC by a Colville Tribal Ambulance for unknown reasons but refused to be examined by CMC staff and was not being held for any reason.
- An elderly Electric City woman wouldn’t leave another Electric City woman’s residence, believing there to be five people at her own home looking for her pink BB gun. The elderly woman was taken to her residence, where she wouldn’t let police in, and said that the five people must have left. The BB gun was where she left it, she said. The officer made sure the elderly woman had food, and that she would be OK. The report was forwarded to adult protective services for review and further action.
7/22 - A Moses Lake driver was cited for driving without insurance after she was pulled over near H&H Grocery when an officer running her plates showed reports of the vehicle registration being expired. The tabs showed an expiration of September 2018, but the driver still didn’t have insurance.
- A Grand Coulee man reported a threatening text from his soon-to-be ex-wife. When asking for items of his from her, the man received a text saying he would get beaten up by a biker gang if he tried to get them. The woman said that the man also threatened her in text messages, but didn’t have any to show the officer. She was told not to contact the man.
