9/13 - A man pulled over on 2nd St. was cited with driving without insurance and failure to use his turn signal.
- A woman was cited for speeding, going 45 mph in the 30 mph zone near Pole Park.
- A man driving a U-Haul was cited with going 40 mph in the 30-mph zone near Pole Park. He was also cited for not having a valid license.
9/14 - A person requested a welfare check on a man who lives at the Continental Heights apartments. The subject wasn’t home, but a neighbor said he was visiting his friend in Moses Lake.
- An officer cited a woman for speeding 45 miles per hour in the 30-mph zone near Pole park.
- On Midway Ave., an automated teller machine alarm was tripped by the courier for the machine. Everything was fine.
- A woman was booked into Grant County Jail on a domestic violence charge after allegedly striking her boyfriend at a Silver Dr. residence.
9/15 - While taking an emergency vehicle operators course on USBR property near SR-155, an officer drove his patrol vehicle off a dirt and rock embankment. The vehicle suffered damage to the front driver-side tire and rim and was towed to Bird’s Automotive in Electric City.
9/16 - A man was charged with speeding after being pulled over near the overlook area just above Grand Coulee Dam for going 45 miles per hour in a 30-mph zone.
- A man was allegedly shoved into the food case at the deli counter at Safeway by a woman who cursed at him. The man had dated her cousin previously, and the woman was mad about the breakup. Police were unable to reach the woman at her residence.
9/17 - A man told police he did not respond to two emails regarding his Social Security number.
- Police assisted the Grant County Sheriff’s Office with a report of someone ringing the doorbell and trying to pick the lock at an Alcan Road residence where a child was inside. Police found no marks on the door, nor a suspect, and the child was fine.
- While investigating a report of an injured dog on Coulee Blvd., an officer was informed by the reporting party that someone had picked the dog up to take to the vet.
- While investigating a report that a man was going to go to the casino with a gun, the officer spoke with the man at his residence. Claiming his wife is “nuts,” he said he’d never do such a thing and that, having heard about the rumor, he had been expecting police to arrive.
- A man was arrested on a warrant after being treated at the Coulee Medical Center emergency room. The man had been combative while at the hospital, which is why police arrived.
9/18 - A resident on Roosevelt Dr. reported someone shining a light in her window. No one was seen upon police arrival.
- A cell phone was reported stolen from a King St. residence, allegedly by a guest who had left when the homeowner had gone to the bathroom.
- Some 130 brass sprinkler heads were reported stolen from the Washington Flats area. They were valued at $15-30 each, and required a wrench for removal.
- A cash drawer was stolen from The Star newspaper. Pry marks consistent with forced entry were observed and photographed on a door to the business.
9/20 - While investigating a report of neighbors arguing, police found a Goodfellow Ave. man and woman had been arguing over name calling directed at a mother-in-law.
- A man with a prosthetic leg, who is about 6 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs over 300 pounds, was taken by ambulance from Banks Lake Pub, too intoxicated to leave. The man was banned from the pub. He later allegedly took a swing at Coulee Medical Center staff. Contact was avoided by staff due to the man’s intoxication level. He was taken to his home by police.
9/21 - A passenger in a vehicle pulled over near Pole Park was arrested on a warrant.
- An E St. man came to an understanding with police to turn down the bass of his music while working in his shop so as not to offend a neighbor.
- A car chase at about 10 p.m. ended when a man drove into a ravine on SR-155 near the rock cut north of Elmer City. Officers cleared the scene so that a helicopter ambulance could land and take the suspect to a hospital.
9/22 - A driver was cited for going 45 mph in the 30-mph zone near the overlook area just above Grand Coulee Dam.
- A man was banned from Safeway after allegedly threatening to shoot people regarding finding needles in his yard. The man was released after being told he was banned from the store.
- A Burdin Ave. woman was informed that it is not a crime for someone to look at her while she is in front of her home.
9/23 - A man was charged with going 45 in a 30-mph zone near Pole Park.
9/24 - A woman cut her hand while allegedly attempting to enter the residence of a man she has been dating, who didn’t want her there because his children were inside sleeping. She was taken to Coulee Medical Center, but refused a ride to her apartment in Coulee Dam.
- A hundred brass sprinkler heads were reported stolen from the Washington Flats area, an estimated value of $3,500.
- A girl was knocked over by a dog on Hill Ave. The owner apologized, saying she’d just let the dog out to go to the bathroom. The owner was warned to license the dog, and for letting it run at large.
- A man was taken to Grant County Jail on a confirmed warrant after being spotted on King St.
- A Weil Place woman thought pain pills were stolen from her residence. She then found them in her purse.
- An officer checking on the welfare of two children, ages 8-11, was unable to locate them. The children were reported to have been shopping for groceries with their mother’s EBT card and a grocery list. The reporting party was worried about neglect.
