Brewer has helped the success of Grant County

I support Terry Brewer for Grant County PUD Commissioner.

I have known Terry for over 20 years. It has been my pleasure to work with him as Director of the Grant County EDC and in his role as a PUD Commissioner.

Don’t mistake Terry’s quiet demeanor and even disposition when evaluating his commitment to the people of Grant County and his advocacy for public power. Terry brings to this position extensive experience with private and public power. He is respected in the Public Power Field because of his knowledge and experience navigating the complex demands of federal regulations and putting Grant County PUD on a sound financial basis. He understands the critical importance of our agriculture-based economy while balancing the creation of a countywide economy that provides stable, high-paying jobs for our future.

I first knew Terry when he was director of Grant County EDC. He was known and respected statewide, and even internationally, for recruiting new industry to Grant County. He created compelling, detailed proposals that helped major companies give serious consideration to investing substantial capital in Grant County. His success has given rise to more diversified and higher-paying jobs.

I encourage you to critically look at his opponent’s expensive and misleading advertising. Terry’s agenda is to serve all of Grant County and he is not beholden to any deep-pocket supporters.

Grant County PUD dams came about because of the strong leadership and vision of Grant County leaders; PUD dams were built to create jobs in Grant County and Washington state. Farmers in the 1950s did not have deep wells or circle irrigation that they now claim should have cheap power rates at the expense of residential, small business and industrial customers. I trust Terry Brewer will continue to be a visionary leader for our PUD.
