News, views and advertising of the Grand Coulee Dam Area
’Tis the beginning of the season for Trees of Sharing 2018. The Trees of Sharing program is a special way for Grand Coulee Dam area residents to anonymously bless local children who might not otherwise receive a gift at Christmastime. Trees of Sharing is for children up to age 18 residing in the Grand Coulee Dam area, including Elmer City and Belvedere. School-age children must be enrolled in the Grand Coulee Dam School District.
This year’s Trees of Sharing schedule:
• November 2 – November 16: Children’s names may be submitted on special “wish” slips and placed in decorated collection boxes at Safeway Pharmacy, Coulee Medical Center, or Harvest Foods.
• November 21 – December 8: Trees decorated with ornament tags with children’s wishes available at North Cascades Bank, Safeway Pharmacy, Coulee Dam Federal Credit Union, and Harvest Foods. Please pick up a tag and fill the wish.
• Monday, December 10: All gifts, wrapped and with tags attached to the outside of the package, must be returned to a “Tree” location so they can be organized for delivery.
• Saturday, December 15, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.: Trees of Sharing home delivery of gifts
Please call Linda Black, 633-3611, to volunteer with Trees of Sharing. There are opportunities to organize, shop, wrap, and deliver gifts.
