11/20 - A Young St. man was cited with animal cruelty after allegedly abandoning his dog, which had reportedly been chained up outside in freezing temperatures and without food and water. A neighbor reported the man, who had left the residence several days earlier after an assault case also was reported at the residence.
- A man wanted on a warrant was seen on Van Tyne, where he was arrested and taken to Coulee City, from where a Grant County Sheriff deputy took him to Grant County Jail.
11/21 - A driver received a speeding ticket for going 46 mph in the 35-mph zone while traveling on SR-174 near D Street. The same day, in the same area, a driver received a ticket for going 47 mph, another was cited for 52 mph, and still another person for going 48 mph.
11/22 - A man with a thin beard and mustache wearing overalls was reported peeking into a woman’s car, parked at her Electric Blvd. home. The woman knocked on the window of her home to get his attention, at which point the man waved at her and walked off. An officer found the man near Banks Lake Pub, and told him not to snoop around people’s cars. The man said he wouldn’t.
11/23 - Gas was stolen from a UPS truck parked on Van Tyne Ave. There was damage to the fuel line.
- An officer responded to a report of physical domestic violence at the Sky Deck Motel. The officer determined it was a “lovers quarrel,” and that there were no injuries or damage in the room. Neither the man nor the woman wished to press charges and said they had just been arguing.
11/24 - A tow notice was placed on a black Mazda with expired tabs, parked on Hill Ave.
- A juvenile on Weil Ave. reportedly threw a remote control at her mother’s head, then ran off. An officer returned her to her home.
11/25 - A Kelso Ave. man reported that someone had prowled his car and stolen his scratch tickets. However, the thief was neat enough to place cigarettes from the ashtray into a bag left on the floor of the vehicle.
- A driver reported he had struck a deer on SR-174. The deer was deceased, and a passerby was allowed to salvage the deer meat.
