12/11 - Between Dec. 6 and Dec. 11 someone reportedly broke into the coin repositories of four machines in the laundry room in the apartments on Hill Ave.
12/13 - A Burdin Blvd. woman reported that she heard a loud diesel truck outside her home, walked outside, and saw that the taillights had been taken from her Dodge Ram.
12/14 - A King St. woman asked an officer to check her residence to see if her vehicle was missing after being warned by an Omak police officer that that might be the case. The vehicle was indeed missing. It was recovered in Omak without any keys, somehow, with three people in the car, one saying he had bought the vehicle, but not identifying from whom. The vehicle was impounded for safekeeping.
- A Lakeview Blvd. man was taken to Grant County Jail on a warrant after being arrested at his residence. He was allowed to finish his cigarette before being placed in cuffs.
- A woman was cited for driving without an interlock device and driving with a suspended license after being pulled over near Snyder Road for failure to stop at a stop sign. The car was parked off the roadway and was not towed.
12/15 - A vehicle stolen out of Texas about six years ago was seen at the Grand Coulee Ave. Exxon station. The driver, who had a bill of sale in the vehicle, said he had bought it in Western Washington, and was apparently unaware it had been stolen. He took his possessions from the vehicle and was allowed to go. The vehicle was towed.
12/16 - An officer removed a large rock from SR-174 near Crown Point.
12/17 - A man walking in the middle of the road near Coulee Playland said he was trying to get to Nespelem. He was told to stay out of the middle of the road.
- A Pathfinder parked on Partello was marked with a notice of unauthorized vehicle and a notice mailed to the registered owner after a Partello man notified police about it.
- A man was reported to be cutting a lock off of a storage unit behind the Grand Coulee Post Office. He told a responding officer that he was getting into it for his daughter, who had lost the keys. Police contacted the storage unit owner, who didn’t recognize the name given by the man. The man drove off, but police pulled him over until they could validate his story. It turned out the storage unit was registered to his wife.
- A tan and dark earth-colored Springfield handgun was reported stolen from a man’s Jeep on Fourth Street. The man thought he had locked the Jeep, but wasn’t certain. There were no signs of forced entry. Value of the gun is estimated at $550.
- An officer attempted to pull over a driver with a defective license plate lamp on Spokane Blvd. The man continued to drive, making turns, eventually pulling over on Yakima. The man at first said there wasn’t a good place to pull over. The officer mentioned the large parking lot the man had driven past. The man later said he wanted to park near a private residence so the vehicle couldn’t be towed. He was cited for the defective lamp, driving without a license, and failure to stop. The registered owner of the vehicle was contacted and took control of it.
- A Hill Ave. resident was taken to Coulee Medical Center and checked into the emergency room after complaining of hearing voices in his head and having bugs on his skin. He denied being on drugs.

12/10 - A Spokane Ave. woman heard her vehicle start at 2 a.m. while she was inside, saw it leaving and followed it to a parking lot on River Dr. A subject went into a River Dr. address. The woman can’t find her spare key, so disabled the vehicle somehow to put a new lock and ignition on it. Shoe prints in the snow were followed, then lost. The thief is around 6 feet tall and wears a size 11 shoe.
12/14 - An officer was informed of a female student at Lake Roosevelt in possession of drug paraphernalia. At the school, the student reached down the front of her sweatshirt and threw a bag of marijuana onto the desk, saying she forgot she had it. The officer took possession of the pot and paraphernalia found by the reporting party to the police station where it was secured in an evidence locker.
- A woman was cited for driving without a required interlock device after being pulled over for making an improper turn from River Drive onto Pine Street, crossing the stop line at the intersection and entering the oncoming traffic lane during the turn.
- A Birch St. woman reported someone walking around a neighbor’s house with a flashlight. There was music coming from inside the home. The absent homeowner said she had left the radio and some lights on. The home was found to be secure.
12/15 - There was yelling and screaming reported at a Canyon St. home but the woman who had been yelling calmed down, and there was no damage or violence involved.
- A driver was following an officer too closely on SR-155, and as the officer turned onto 12th, the man passed the officer in a no-passing zone. The man said he had been talking to children in the backseat, and when he looked up he was too close to stop and so passed the officer. The man was cited with following too closely and passing in a no-passing zone. The man called the officer a “bastard,” among other names.
