On Dec. 11 the Lady Raiders zapped the Oroville Lady Hornets by 50 points last week.
LR led 35-5 at the half, and held the Hornets to only three points in the second half to win 58-8 Dec. 11.
Head Coach Peewee Pleasants couldn't recall a time when LR held their opponents to under 10 points in a game.
"This game we really wanted to focus on what we do best - playing defense," Pleasants said. "Try to make sure we're doing the good things, the right things that are going to help us be successful down the stretch of the season."
Pleasants said the team played its best offense so far this season.
"We were really patient," he said, "not settling for the first shot, looking for the second, third, sometimes even the fourth option inside the offense. ... That created a lot of open space for us to do the things we wanted to do."
Kyona Edmo led the ladies with 14 points.
The Lady Raiders traveled to Tonasket Dec. 14 to catch the Lady Tigers, winning 50-46.
The Lady Raiders played yesterday against Okanogan in a non-league game, results of which will be reported in next week's Star.
They play in Brewster against the Lady Bears on Dec. 20 at 6 p.m.
Their next home game is on Saturday, Dec. 22, in a non-league game against Warden. The varsity team is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
