News, views and advertising of the Grand Coulee Dam Area
Interesting opinion by Roger Harnack. That article is much too brazen for the Tri-City Herald to print. One aspect is missing, relative to the following: Between now and July 1, let’s hope more residents, officials and businesses stand up and oppose the onerous regulations encapsulated in the text of Initiative 1639. Let’s hope more law enforcement agencies and municipalities nullify the unconstitutional measure. Let’s hope Matt’s message continues to spread. Our culture, economy and way of life here east of the Cascades depend on it.
Unless someone is able to help fight this issue in the courts, and your local law enforcement agency, then we as lawful citizens are doomed to the will of some individuals that are willing to give up their constitutional rights and (are) seeking to destroy yours! Court battles require money. There is one organization, of many, in this state that’s putting their money where their mouth is in the courts. It’s the Second Amendment Foundation. Their contact info is: Second Amendment Foundation, 12500 NE 10th PL, Bellevue, WA, 98005; email: info@saf.org, 425-454-7012.
I encourage anyone who would like to retain their constitutional rights to join the SAF (and others) in the battle ahead. Additionally, write your elected officials every day. Make your voice heard!
Case in point:
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out —
Because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out —
Because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out —
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me — and there was no one left to speak for me.
