The Lake Roosevelt boys took down two basketball opponents last week, putting them third in their league.
The Raiders defeated the Tonasket Tigers in Tonasket Jan. 22, winning 71-57
"The boys played well," Head Coach Jeremy Crollard said. "We jumped out to a big lead and were able to hold it through the fourth quarter. Got everyone playing time. Some of the reserves came in. Sonny Boyd came in and had a good game. Sam Wapato had a really good game."
The Raiders hosted Soap Lake Jan. 24, defeating the Eagles 83-45.
LR took an early lead, leading 26-12 at the end of the first, and 49-23 at the end of the half.
Soarin' Marchand consistently lined up at the three-point line and sunk his shots.
The Raiders were scheduled to play the Brewster Bears at home last night, results of which will be in next week's Star.
They play Liberty Bell Friday, Feb. 1, at 7:30 p.m. at home in Coulee Dam and on Feb. 2 play on the road against Waterville-Mansfield, also at 7:30 p.m. in the final game of the regular season.
Crollard spoke a bit about the upcoming postseason: "We just have to keep working every day. If we want to beat some of these good teams we're going to face in districts, we have to keep working and keep wanting it. I think we'll be there when it comes down to it."
