An officer found a vehicle matching the description on Roosevelt Drive, and the man ran out and through someone’s yard. Another officer spoke with a woman who was still in the truck. The man’s suspended driver’s license was in the ashtray of the truck, and the officer used it to identify him. The woman was told to tell the man to contact police to receive a citation rather than go to jail, and that if he doesn’t contact police, a warrant will be issued for his arrest.
5/15 - A man on Hillcrest in Electric City reported that a neighbor’s dog, a yellow German shepherd mix, was loose, and that it was aggressive. An officer parked near the house and the dog growled at him, so the officer didn’t get out of his car. Another officer arrived and opened a gate to the dog’s home. The dog ran inside the fenced area and the officer closed the gate. The two officers then noted a hole in the fence, which they then blocked with scrap lumber and a portable generator that were lying around the property. The owner was later contacted and told he would be cited for having a dog at large.

- A man on Goodfellow Avenue reportedly threatened two city workers. The man said to have made the threats later called the officer saying it was his right to call people names or call the officer a “pig.” The police report was filed for information in case of further incidents.

5/19 - An officer spoke to a man in the area of Fortuyn Road, where possible vehicle prowls were reported. The man said he was just taking a walk and taking in the sights. The reporting party said he didn’t see the man take anything or attempt to get into any vehicles.
- An officer arrived at Bowen Street, where a couple was said to be in a heated argument in the street. The couple told the officer they were arguing, but that no physical violence had occurred. The couple separated for the day and the officer left.
- An officer responded to a report of neighbors arguing on Roosevelt Drive. When he arrived, one of the neighbors said they’d worked out their differences and that law enforcement was no longer needed. A woman who still wished to speak to the officer said the neighbors harass her, that drug deals occur at their house, and that their dog defecates in her yard. The officer told her how to go about getting a no-contact order.
