8/5 - Police responded to Kings Court RV Park where they were shown footage of two persons entering a room in the laundromat where the public is not allowed. The footage showed a woman appearing to be on the lookout while a male looked in the room. Police were told the door was left open and there are no signs saying “Employee’s Only.”
- Police spotted a man they knew to be wanted on a warrant on Kelso Avenue, arrested him, and took him to jail.
8/6 - Police responded to Lakeview Avenue, where a man reported a possible burglary. He was visibly agitated, consuming a large amount of water, and speaking erratically. He didn’t wish to fill out a report, but was comforted by the police response, the report stated.
- A vehicle rolled over on SR-174 west of Spring Canyon Road while avoiding a deer in the road. The vehicle landed on the passenger side of the vehicle. The driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, exited the vehicle on his own before services arrived. He was taken by ambulance to Coulee Medical Center.
- Two people who had made a fire near the water at Crescent Bay were told of a fire ban in effect. They extinguished the fire.
8/7 - A man had a dead battery while parked at the Exxon on Grand Coulee Avenue. The man was given a courtesy ride, and the owner of the vehicle, the man’s sister, who was concerned about his whereabouts, was told to move the vehicle as soon as possible as it was parked on private property.
- A man and woman were found carrying a window-mount style air conditioner through the bushes behind Center Elementary on Spokane Way to load it into a friend’s truck, also at the school. The pair said they found it in the field behind the school, and the officer told them to put it back, that they couldn’t just take it. The officer took the AC for safekeeping.
- A man on Hill Avenue reported his housemate missing. She left in the morning without her phone, has health issues, and was supposed to have been back by a certain time. The officer took down information and issued an Attempt to Locate for the woman and her vehicle. Later that same day, the officer received a call, reporting that she had arrived back home safely.
- A caller reported that a boy wearing a green shirt was carrying a fishing pole along SR-155 near the golf course. Police were unable to locate him. There was no mention in the police report as to why a boy with a fishing pole is worthy of reporting to the police.
8/9 - Four horses were walking on Alcan Road and Yakima in the Delano area. The president of the Ridge Riders was called and contacted the horse owners. The horses were corralled and placed in the rodeo grounds.
- A driver reported teenagers skating in the middle of the highway near North Dam Park. One of the teenagers argued with a cop, saying he hadn’t done anything wrong. The officer explained that the skater needed to yield to other vehicles. The teenager was said to have insulted the officer’s profession and to have eventually said that there was nothing the cop could do to him since he was under the age of 18. The officer then arrested him for disorderly conduct. The officer spoke to the other skateboarders, who said they understood that they weren’t supposed to skate in the roadway, had been warned before about that, and that they understood why their friend was arrested. The arrested skateboarder was then released, told that common courtesy could have prevented the arrest, and his mother was told about the incident by the officer.
8/10 - An injured deer was “dispatched” by an officer on Electric Boulevard.
8/11 - A man and woman at Coulee Gas on Midway Avenue got in an argument over where they were going, and the man locked himself in the car. They were arguing about going to either Bridgeport then Omak, or to Nespelem. The man took off on foot which was fine by the woman.
- Two hound dogs were reported to be running on Boulder Avenue. Police didn’t see any hound dogs in that area.
8/12 - A dog was reported barking on Dill Avenue. Police were unable to locate a barking dog there.
- A man on A Street reported a grinder and air compressor stolen from his property over the weekend.
- A woman asked police to help a mother deer and two fawns get out of the gated access part of the canal. She said they had been there for a couple days. Police didn’t find any deer at the canal.

8/6 - An officer responded to the gas station in Coulee Dam, where it was reported that threats had been made, and that weapons may be involved. A woman told an officer that a man standing nearby on Stevens Avenue was yelling at her but she couldn’t make out what he was saying. The woman’s boyfriend began yelling at the man, he told the officer, and he also couldn’t understand what the man was saying. The man standing on Stevens Avenue told the officer that he and his girlfriend were cashing in a winning lotto ticket, when the other man leaned in his car and said something to the effect of “do you have a [expletive] problem?” That man believed the first man may have had weapons, but he wasn’t sure of it. The parties separated.
8/8 - A driver was pulled over for going 50 mph in the 30 mph zone along SR-155 near mile marker 26. He said he didn’t know the speed limit in the area, didn’t have any of his papers, and was reported to have opened his door and said, “Just put the cuffs on me now, I’m going to jail.” Asked why, the man said he had “escaped.” The officer found the man to have a felony Department of Corrections warrant for a work-release escape. The vehicle was towed and the man was taken to Okanogan County Jail.
8/9 - An intoxicated man, recognized by an officer, was said to have been near the daycare center, trying to get in a side door, and messing with a wheelchair. The man said he was near the daycare but not trying to get inside, that he didn’t mess with the wheelchair, and that he was waiting for a bus to go to a friend’s house. The officer made sure the man got on the bus.
