Electric City is actually doing this

So, Electric City politicians and town administrator are going to do it. They are actually going to shut down a perfectly good (and heavily used) street in order to build a park that nobody wants. They are going to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on this idiotic project seemingly out of sheer spite.

Think about that. Hundreds of thousands of dollars spent AND shutting down a street. I mean it is one thing to spend money to FIX a city street, but noooo … Electric City is spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to shut a street down. I can’t believe that there is not one person on the current city council who is not screaming STOP at the top of their lungs. It is almost criminal.

Meanwhile, all the traffic is going to be diverted to the “Hill of Death.” Otherwise known as Stevens Ave. Stevens is narrower than Western. It is in worse shape than Western (and will deteriorate even faster now). It has two massive blind spots already. Every winter there are vehicles that cannot make it up the hill and end up sliding back down. All the truck and trailer traffic will now be going up and down that narrower street.

Shame on the elected officials of Electric City for allowing this to happen.

Now I must prepare myself for some random citation for some minor city code violation. Because … well because that’s what happens these days in Electric City when you dare to criticize the establishment.
