Rattler open declared success for local golf course

The 11th Annual Rattler Golf Tournament was a huge success, organizers say.

The tournament held at Banks Lake Golf Course Aug. 24 had 72 golfers attend from the local community, including Nespelem, Omak/Okanogan, Wilbur, the Coulee area and visitors from the Spokane Tribe, Coeur d’Alene Tribe, Nez Perce Tribe, Yakama Tribe and Canada.

Erik Bush made a hole in one on hole number 11.

Lunch was provided by Rhonda Marchand, who served Indian Tacos and a specialty dessert — huckleberry cake.

Tournament results

1st Place Team: Zeke Domebo, Dale Rinker & Dale Dunckel, winning $1,150 each ($3,450).

2nd Place Team: Derek Whiteman, Pat Morin & Dax Whiteman, winning $690 each ($2,070).

3rd Place Team: Darin Whiteman, Billy Desautel & Brett Seaver, winning $460 each ($1,380).
