9/3 - A man reported his blue truck had been hit in the Safeway parking lot, out of view of security cameras. There were scratches and dents on the fender, and a transfer of orange paint or rust from the offending vehicle. An officer took photos of the damage.
- A juvenile with a longboard and backpack was banned from Safeway after reportedly cussing and yelling at customers and employees.
9/4 - A brown dog was reportedly walking with a limp near the American Legion building along SR-155 in Electric City.
- A panic alarm set off at a home on Grand Avenue was a false alarm, the homeowners confirmed.
9/5 - A woman reported another woman had entered her Hill Avenue apartment without permission, possibly to steal an X-Box gaming console. That woman, a neighbor, explained she was just bringing cereal to a friend’s children who were there. She was told to get permission to enter any residence prior to entering.
9/6 - A woman reported a cat stuck on a power pole on D Street. She was told to contact the PUD.
- Electric City’s code enforcer asked for help capturing dogs running at large near Kent and Kelso Avenue in Electric City. The owner’s relative eventually rounded up the dogs. The code enforcer will issue citations.
- A Grand Coulee man said his Social Security check had been mailed to a woman’s address and she wouldn’t give it to him. An officer spoke to the woman, got the check, and gave it to the man.
- A malnourished dog was reported on A Street.
- A man and woman were arguing at Osborne Bay. The argument was verbal only. The woman was given a ride to catch a bus.
9/8 - An ATM alarm was set off at North Cascades Bank, possibly caused by a power outage. Officers didn’t see anything suspicious in the area.
- An intoxicated woman was sitting in her car at Safeway. An officer gave her a courtesy ride home, and gave the car keys to her husband.
9/9 - A woman received a message on her answering machine saying she would receive a full refund and that the courts were ordering a business shut down and to call a number. An officer looked up the number, which is known to be a fraud that claims to be from Microsoft and requests access to a person’s computer. The officer told the woman she was right not to call the number back.
- A driver possibly under the influence of drugs or alcohol was reported heading north on SR-155 from Safeway. An officer was unable to locate or catch up to the vehicle but forwarded the information to Okanogan County and to Tribal Police.
