9/30 - A man on King Street said he had to use a shop vacuum while repairing a toilet, and once done, rinsed the vacuum and dumped it across the street in some bushes. An officer, responding to a report from a neighbor, told him that that wasn’t the proper way to dispose of that kind of waste. The man said he wouldn’t do it again.
- A man told police that three days earlier he had been approached by two “locals” at the Electric City Bar & Grill who said he could purchase some time with a 14-year-old girl. Asked why he didn’t report it sooner, the man said he wanted to talk about it in person. He was told to call 911 immediately if it happened again.
10/1 - A suspicious woman was reported walking down Diamond Street with a backpack and a Nerf gun, acting as if it were a shotgun. Police were unable to locate such a woman.
- A dog reportedly killed another dog on Electric Boulevard. When police responded to a report of yelling, a woman had another woman pinned to the ground. Police ordered her off the other woman and separated them to get the story. People told police that a woman had walked her pitbull, uninvited, onto private property, where it attacked and killed a chihuahua belonging to third woman. The pitbull was taken to Grant County Animal Outreach until Electric City contacts the owner and issues a dangerous dog infraction. The owner was also banned from that property. There was no mention as to the whereabouts of the owner of the chihuahua in the police report.
10/3 - A man was sleeping in his SUV at a Banks Avenue residence where the owner was not present. The man said he was longtime friends with the owner of the residence and came to visit him. He was told to leave and come back later, or to contact the owner and set up a time to visit.
10/5 - Two women at the Banks Lake Pub claimed to have been assaulted by two other women. They didn’t wish to press charges, saying it was just “stupid drunk bar (stuff).”
- A man said he was in the Grand Coulee Manor lobby with other people who had shopping carts when a man exited the elevator and was upset that the carts were in the way and began yelling at those present. The two men rolled on the ground, but no punches were thrown, the first man said. He didn’t wish to press charges, only to have the incident documented.
- A man lying on the side of Yakima Street said he had been hit by a red car and wanted an ambulance. The man became agitated with officers and walked off as the ambulance was arriving. Police had no reason to make the man stay, so let him go.
10/7 - Police told a man he needed to remove his vehicle, which had broken down on another man’s property, creating issues between the two men.
- A man was charged with assault and malicious mischief following an argument on Dill Avenue over pizza. Allegedly, he shoved a woman, who shoved him back, then slapped her. Another woman was reportedly having a seizure and an ambulance took her to the hospital.The man being charged left on foot.
