It is with deep sorrow that the Elliott family is sharing the loss of their beloved daughter, sister and auntie. Sarah Marie Elliott, age 37, passed away as a result of a sudden cardiac arrest in her home in Grand Coulee, Washington on Friday, October 18, 2019.
Sarah was born July 2, 1982 in Soap Lake Washington to Donald and Janice Elliott. Her life started a little different than most at the time. Sarah was born at home with the assistance of a mid-wife (Jeannie Weber) and her maternal aunt Sheila Hogge, who was a labor and delivery nurse. Sarah lived in Soap Lake her whole childhood and was an alumni of the Soap Lake High School class of 2000!! She was a truly creative soul. Sarah was making something from nothing at a very young age, (i.e. a million duct tape wallets-some of which are still probably floating around). Sarah painted beautiful pictures and also transferred that artistic talent to nail art and makeup. She loved to pamper others and make them feel pretty. Throughout her life she was the "go to" for Halloween makeup and anything else that needed an artistic flair. Sarah had the biggest heart and could love without restraint. This definitely made her the favorite "Auntie Rara" to her nieces and nephews. She loved to play with them, cuddle them, make messes with them, talk deeply with them, and always could get the biggest laughs out of each one of them. Sarah was also excitedly waiting for her next niece, Amelia, to arrive the end of the year.
Sarah was preceded in death by her grandparents: Arthur John Nicholson Jr., Jean Nicholson, Robert Elliott and Norma Guilmette; her uncles Terry Elliott and Ronald Elliott and aunt Sue Elliott.
She is survived by her parents Donald and Janice Elliott of Grand Coulee, her siblings: Jeremy Elliott (Nicole) of Moses Lake, Washington, Amber Dunlap (Jim) of Cheney, Washington, Tia Bevers of Soap Lake, Jason Elliott (Grainne) of Hanoi Vietnam, and Chelsie Sanchez
(David) of Spokane Valley, Washington. She is survived by nieces and nephews: Raven, Gabriel and Justice Bevers, Victoria Elliott and Lincoln Sanchez, and Claire Dunlap, as well as aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. Sarah also had a long-term relationship with Matthew Granillo and his daughter Connie.
The family will be honoring Sarah's memory on Friday, November 1, 2019, at her childhood home, where she was born and spent most of her life:
214 Moses Lake Ave NW, Soap Lake, WA 98851. Please come share time and memories with us any time between 4-8pm. Halloween was Sarah's favorite holiday so we will be throwing her a Halloween celebration.
The Elliott family would like to thank all of those who have helped us through the past very difficult days with calls, messages, hugs, food, offers of support and even monetary donations to help with final expenses. Special thanks also to James Heuvel at Strate Funeral Home in Grand Coulee for so delicately helping us all through this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, you may give a donation in Sarah's memory to help the family with these unexpected expenses. Feel free to reach out to her parents directly: Don and Jan Elliott 339 Mead Ave. Grand Coulee, WA 99133. A Venmo account has also been set up @Amber-Dunlap-12.
