Many Raiders and Lady Raiders athletes have received “All League” honors from the Central Washington 2B League, nominated and chosen by coaches from the league.
All four teams made it to the post season this year.
In football, in which the Raiders will compete in the state quarterfinals Saturday, Hunter Whitelaw was named as First Team quarterback; Sam Wapato was named as First Team receiver; Trevon Johnson, Josh “Bobcat” Flowers, and Myka Boyd were all named as First Team offensive linemen. Malachi Rasmussen was named as Second Team receiver; Tyson Nicholson was named as Second Team tight end; and Jaimen Schmidt was named as Second Team kicker.
On defense, Nicholson and Tyler Jordan were named First Team linemen; Whitelaw, Wapato, and Cameron St. PIerre were named as First Team defensive backs; Flowers was named as First Team linebacker. Rasmussen was named as Second Team defensive back as well as Second Team punter.
Raider Head Coach Tim Rasmussen won coach of the year.
In cross country, Kyle Edmo received an honorable mention. Edmo made it all the way to the state tournament this year.
In volleyball, in which the Lady Raiders went to state for the first time in 28 years, Mikaylah Thompson and Jozlyn Hansen were named to the First Team, and Ellie Hansen was named to Second Team.
In soccer, in which the Lady Raiders made it to the playoffs for the first time in the team’s four years, Lake Roosevelt won the sportsmanship award. Additionally, Madisyn Toulou was named as a First Team fielder; Bryn Chaffee was named as a First Team mid fielder; and Almeta Desautel was named to the Second Team defense.
