No Chamber Meetings for the Next Two Weeks
Chamber will not meet this Thursday due to the Thanksgiving Day holiday. The December 5 meeting has also been cancelled so chamber members can meet out at the Vet Center in Electric City to set up for the Vintners and Brewers event set for Saturday, December 7. Come out on the 5th to help. Voltage Coffee House will be catering a lunch for the volunteers.

The food bank will be closed Nov. 29. Normal operating hours are every Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. It is located at the Church of Nazarene, Hwy 174, Grand Coulee. Clients are encouraged to provide their own containers to carry groceries home in. Call Pastor Shawn for information: 633-2566.
Wenatchee Valley Erratics Chapter will Meet Dec. 10
The Wenatchee Valley Erratics Chapter of the Ice Age Floods Institute will meet at 7 p.m.., Tuesday, December 10 at the Wenatchee Valley Museum, 127 South Mission, Wenatchee. The program will be “Above the Arctic Circle: Exploring Iceland, Greenland and Svalbard” Speaker, Dr. John Buchanan, EWU Emeritus Professor of Geology, has spent three summers high above the Arctic Circle. John’s beautifully illustrated presentation will feature details of the geologic history and the plate tectonic opening of the North Atlantic, including a visit to a volcanic hotspot Jan Mayen Island and Beerenberg volcano in the Norwegian Sea. Beerenberg is the northernmost active volcano on the planet. He will examine the Skaergaard Complex, a layered dark-colored ultramafic intrusion in Greenland, part of the North Atlantic igneous province. And, there will be polar bears and walrus and other wildlife along the way!
The program is free & open to the public.

AA Meetings for GCD and Nespelem Area
Confused in the Coulee AA meetings are held on Mondays and Fridays at 6 p.m. at the Vets Center in Electric City. Call Paul at 633-3377 days or 633-3345 evenings.
New Hope Group meetings are held Wednesdays at 6 p.m. at the Vets Center. These are open and non-smoking.
In Nespelem, the group Bound and Determined holds its meetings Monday evening at 7 p.m. at the Catholic Church. Contact Myrna at 634-4921 for more information.
