Okanogan County, State of Washington

Tuesday, February 11th, 2020

A Special Election will be held in the below mentioned districts for the purpose of submitting to the voters for their approval or rejection the following:

Brewster School District No. 111/203J Replacement of Expiring Educational Programs and Operation Levy, Methow Valley School District No. 350 Proposition 1 Replacement of Expiring Educational Programs and Operation Levy, Methow Valley School District No. 350 Proposition 2 Replacement of Expiring Capital Levy for Educational Technology Improvements, Lake Chelan School District No. 129 Proposition 1 Replacement Educational Programs and Operation Levy, Lake Chelan School District No. 129 Proposition 2 Replacement Capital Levy for Educational Technology Improvements, Omak School District No. 19 proposition 1 Replacement School Programs and Operation Levy, Oroville School District No. 410 Replacement of Expiring Educational Programs and Operation Levy, Tonasket School District No. 404 Proposition 1 Replacement Educational Programs and Operation Levy, Bridgeport School District No. 75 Replacement Educational Programs and Operation Levy.

The registration deadline for online registrations, mail-in registrations and transfers is February 3rd, 2020. Any qualified elector who is not registered to vote in the State of Washington may register to vote in person at the Auditor’s Office up to and including February 11, 2020.

You can register or obtain registration forms at the Auditor’s Office, on line at http://www.votewa.gov, and at the Department of Licensing.

The Okanogan County Auditor’s Office, 149 3rd Ave N, Room 104, at the County Courthouse, will be open so voters may obtain replacement ballots, drop off voted ballots, obtain provisional ballots, and use the Accessible Voting Units, at the following times.

Mon. – Fri. 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. January 24 – February 10, 2020

On Election Day only, February 11, 2020, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Tonasket – Tonasket City Hall/Library Complex, 209 S Whitcomb Ave, Tonasket

Omak – Next to Police Station, 8 N Ash, Omak

Twisp – City Hall/118 S Glover St, Twisp

Oroville- Police Station 1307 Main, Oroville

Drop boxes will close at 8:00PM on Election Day

Voters needing additional information or assistance with voter registration forms or voting may call (509) 422-7240. Voters unable to use the mail-in ballot may use the Accessible Voting Unit available at the County Auditor’s Office.

Ballots require no postage and must be postmarked by the day of the election. Check with your local Post Office for deadlines to have your ballot postmarked properly.

Meetings of the Okanogan County Canvassing Board are open, public meetings and shall be continued until the activities for which the following meetings are held have been completed. Canvass Board meetings are held in the Okanogan County Auditor’s Office, 149 3rd Ave N, Room 104, at the County Courthouse, in Okanogan.

Wednesday, February 19th, 2020 at 11:00 AM to determine the status of any provisional or challenged ballots

Friday, February 21st, 2020 at 11:00 AM to canvass the votes cast and certify the election

NOTICE TO ENGINEERING CONSULTANTS

FOR MULTI USE PATH PROJECT

ELMER CITY solicits interest from consulting firms with expertise in Surveying and Civil Engineering. This agreement will be for approximately two (2) years in duration with the option for ELMER CITY to extend it for additional time and money if necessary. ELMER CITY reserves the right to amend terms of this “Request for Qualifications” (RFQ) to circulate various addenda, or to withdraw the RFQ at any time, regardless of how much time and effort consultants have spent on their responses.

Project Description

The project will consist of the surveying, design, and construction engineering of 1,500 feet of multi-use path along the Elmer City Access Road.

ELMER CITY reserves the right to retain the services of the successful firm(s) for any subsequent phases (R/W, CN) associated with this project.

Evaluation Criteria

Submittals will be evaluated and ranked based on the following criteria:

Qualification of Proposed Project Manager

Qualifications/Expertise of Firm

Understanding and Approach to project

Familiarity with FHWA funding requirements and Elmer City

Approach to meet DBE goal

Submittal

Submittals should include the following information: Firm name, phone and fax numbers; Name of Principal-in-Charge and Project Manager; and availability for project.

Please submit TWO copies of your Statement of Qualifications to: ELMER CITY, PO Box 179, Elmer City, WA 99124, no later than 3pm on January 30th at 3PM.
