3/21 - A man got his foot caught in the foot brace of his motorcycle while at a stop sign along SR-155, and possibly broke his ankle when the bike rolled back. He was taken to the hospital. His friends took care of the motorcycle.

- An officer was called to assist with loud occupants at the Sky Deck Motel who refused to quiet down, but they weren’t in their room by the time the officer arrived.

3/22 - A man on King Street told an officer that another man had punched him in the face for no reason while he was sleeping. The officer spoke to the other man, who said the man he punched wasn’t sleeping but was watching TV, and that they got into an argument about money owed, the man watching tv grabbed his arm, and so he hit him. He was charged with assault.

3/23 - A suspicious person wearing all black was reported in a yard along Weil Place. An officer spoke to a man in the area who said he was out for a walk but hadn’t gone near that area.

- A woodshed was broken into on King Street, where fishing nets were stolen.

- Someone saw a man park a car on Williams Street, then run from the car. The reporting party found it suspicious. Turned out the car had broken down, and the driver ran to the post office, where he had seen his father, to get help.

3/26 - Police took pictures of damage to a driver’s car for insurance purposes after she reported hitting a deer near Spokane Way and Grand Coulee Avenue.

3/27 - An estimated $600 in kitchen items and clothes were reported stolen from a storage unit on Second Street. The reporting party estimated the theft had happened about six days earlier.

3/28 - An officer helped escort a man out of a woman’s house after they’d argued and she wanted him out.

- Suspicious sounds of metal banging were reported near the RV shop near Prims Place and Young Street. Nothing was found there. A truck unloading near an auto parts store could have been the source of the noise.

3/29 - A deer struck by a vehicle near milepost 25 on SR-155 in Electric City was killed by an officer.

- A pitbull owner was cited for having a dog at large and for it being unlicensed after a woman on Grand Coulee Avenue reported having to chase it away from her chicken coop.

- A dog owner on Bowen Street was cited for having a dog at large and failure to license the dog after it was spotted by an officer running loose on King Street.

- Police arrested a woman on Dill Avenue and took her to jail for malicious mischief following an incident in which she allegedly was banging on a motorhome and then popped one of its tires.

3/30 - Police responded to a silent alarm on Stevens Avenue where a shop and house were checked with no signs of forced entry.

- A property owner on Yakima Street was told by an officer that he couldn’t have three motor homes on his property, or have people stay in them more than 14 days during a three-month period, per city code. The man said one was being cleaned out and moved, and that the other two belonged to a tenant of his next door. The officer told him he was responsible for making sure tenants follow city code.

3/15 - Police told the city public works department about street lights out along River Drive.

3/16 - Okanogan County Dispatch told a Coulee Dam officer about a call they received from a man on Cedar Street who claimed he’d shot an intruder who was going to bleed out. An officer went to the residence and drew his weapon and told the man inside to show his hands. He did so, and told police he was the one who had called. The officer asked to see where the gun was. The man took him near the fence and appeared to be trying to take it apart to allow access until the officer said he would just walk through the opening. The man said he thought the gun was around there and didn’t know what kind it was. Tribal police arrested the man and took over the investigation.

3/24 - An officer gave a ride to an intoxicated man from Columbia Avenue and Roosevelt Way to his home at the Colville Indian Agency.

- An officer investigated an open door of a house on Fir Street that had been vacant for some time. The door had been kicked in, the officer noted. Police noted owners were absent that there have been multiple police responses to the house over time.

3/27 - A Harvest Foods employee reported an identified man stealing Twisted Tea alcoholic beverages and possibly going to a nearby motel. If security footage confirms the man stole the beverages, theft charges will be forwarded to the county prosecutor.

3/28 - Police spoke to a man and woman who were arguing loudly on Cedar Street. No crimes were committed, just arguing.

3/29 - An officer saw two boys fighting near Civic Way and Spruce Street, with one punching the other in the head, knocking him off his bicycle. The one who threw the punch said he got upset when the other didn’t want to play tag anymore, which made him angry. The officer spoke to their parents and stressed the importance of walking away from heating situations.
