Final results are in for the Colville Business Council primary elections in which seven of the 14 positions for the governing body of the Colville Tribes are up for election.
On Thursday, absentee votes were added to the total vote counts, and the top two winners in each race will move onto the general election.
In the Keller District Position #1 race, incumbent Joseph Somday received 119 votes; Randolph Tonasket received 54 votes; and Terri Covington received 19 votes.
In the Nespelem District Position #1 race, Andrew C. Joseph Jr received 328 votes; incumbent Janet Wak Wak Nicholson received 159; Justin Boyd received 141; and Lily “Teen” Stanger received 125.
In the Nespelem District Position #2 race, incumbent Darnell R. Sam received 309 votes; Sharlene Zacherle received 249; and Harvey Moses Jr received 191.
In the Omak District Position #1 race, Virgil “Smoker” Marchand received 365 votes; John MacClain received 134; Shirley k. Charley received 84; and Launa L. Squetimkin received 34. Incumbent Richard Moses is not running for reelection.
In the Omak District Position #2 race, Incumbent Margie Hutchenson received 219 votes; Dustin Best received 210; Russell W. Boyd received 122; Perry Wilson received 34; and Craig Hall received 32.
In the Inchelium District Position #1 race, incumbent Marvin Kheel received 203 votes; Lawrence “Bubs” Lelone received 131; Michael Finley received 103; and Kathy Picard received 48.
In the Inchelium Position #2 race, incumbent Richard A. Swan Sr received 208 votes; Elizabeth “Susie” Allen received 191; and Karen Hoffman received 81.
