Grant Transit Authority (GTA) awarded People For People, a non-profit organization, a contract to continue providing demand response transportation for individuals who qualify under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
People For People is a local transportation service organization that has provided these services for GTA for the past 24 years.
“We are thrilled to continue providing transportation for GTA’s ADA riders. This service is vital to many individuals who have disabilities in Grant County by providing them transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or other important trips,” said Jan Ollivier, Director of Transportation for People For People.
In addition to this contracted service for GTA, People For People provides other transportation services in Grant County that are funded by the Washington State Department of Transportation, including Route 101 from Coulee Dam/Grand Coulee to the Davenport Community Connector
and “Mobility Management/Travel Training,” a program to teach individuals on how to use transit systems.
