LR's 2020 graduation available to view online

A video showing the full ceremony of Lake Roosevelt High School’s class of 2020 is now available to view on YouTube. 

The video can be found on YouTube under the title “Lake Roosevelt High School Graduation 2020,” and a link will be included in the online version of this article. 

The unusual COVID-19-era outdoor graduation on June 13 took place on LR’s football field and followed social distancing guidelines put in place for the pandemic, which limited the number of people who could attend, kept those attending in their cars, limited the number of people who could be on the field at a given time, and more. 

The ceremony was enhanced by a sound system used to help attendees in their cars hear the ceremony, as well as a large projection screen used to see it.

The video comes from Spokane Valley-based company AMP’D Lighting and Audio Visual, hired by the Grand Coulee Dam School District for a price tag of just under $6,000.

The company had two professional videographers and a still photographer at the ceremony, plus an audio crew with mixer and speakers in the parking lot.
