Grand Coulee Police
7/18 - A man reported that someone had spun “brodies” in the parking lot of his Coulee Boulevard storage units, leaving marks in the gravel.
- A 21-year-old man was reported to be overdosing at Coulee Playland, and CPR was being performed on him. The man was said to have possibly taken Percocet mixed with Fentynal. An officer administered two doses of Narcan, which brought back a pulse to the man and helped him start breathing again. Emergency medical services arrived to take the man to the hospital.
-While looking into another incident, an officer was approached by an intoxicated woman who wasn’t making sense and was argumentative. Then a woman on A Street said she didn’t want the intoxicated woman near her residence. After trying to communicate with the intoxicated woman, the officer charged her with disorderly conduct and for negligent driving. She was released to her husband, who also took her vehicle.
- Police spoke to a man near Fortuyn Road who “nicked” a dog with his car, possibly injuring the dog’s feet. Police told the man he needs to stop for any accident, make sure everything is OK, and contact the owners. The man said he would do so.
- Two campers at SunBanks argued about water access in their water crafts. The argument didn’t turn physical and police weren’t needed.
7/19 - A woman said she found a loose German shepherd on Coulee Boulevard. Police told her they had nowhere to keep the animal. The owner contacted police later, and police told her how to get in touch with the woman who had the dog.
- Campers at Osborne Bay, while in their tent, thought someone was attempting to get into their vehicle. Police spoke to the occupants of a nearby truck, who said they’d opened and closed their own truck doors, but hadn’t gone near the other campers’ vehicle.
- A woman on Weil Place asked that her mother be banned from her home.
7/20 - A man left his wallet at the checkout line at Safeway, and the woman behind him in line took it and left. Faces were not visible in security footage.
- A man on Burdin Boulevard told police that his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend wanted to fight him.
- A dog was reported locked in a car at The Fusion Café. The car was parked in the shade and the windows were rolled down. The owner was found near Four-Corners and given a ride back to his car.
7/21- An officer stood by at the scene of a fatal car accident near Pendell-Rex Road where a minivan was on its side about 200 feet over an embankment. The officer stayed on scene along with EMTs and fire departments until Douglas County officers arrived.
- A Park Avenue woman reported that her ex-husband stayed the night at her residence, and that she later realized the back door was unlocked, and a few items were missing including a framed picture of the man’s daughter and a “knick knack.”
- The Coulee Wall Variety Store provided security footage from July 17 that showed a man take a wireless speaker out of a box, place it into a purse, and put the box back onto a shelf. He was not identified.
7/22 - A woman was charged with theft and banned from The Coulee Wall Variety Store after being caught stealing items, including face masks and chocolates totalling about $27.
- A man reported a woman stealing a dog from his residence in the Delano area. Police are waiting for further statements.
- A man was arrested on Burdin Boulevard and taken to jail for assault following an incident on Fortuyn Road in which he allegedly punched an on-again-off-again girlfriend in the shoulder, causing her to fall to the ground.
7/23 - Police responded to a report of a fire near Section Place and Spokane Boulevard. They found a recreational fire in a fire pit with heavy smoke being monitored by people.
- Police were asked to respond to a fight between inmates from the tribal jail who had been temporarily relocated to the former middle school due to a fire in Nespelem. An officer told tribal police to handle the situation as if it were happening at the jail, and he could help forward reports to the Grant County Prosecutor if need be.
Coulee Dam Police
7/19 - A man on Aspen Street requested three people banned from his home. An officer told him he couldn’t ban one of the people because she was his wife and lived there.
7/22 - Police took photos of graffiti on the sidewalk and a light pole on Central Drive near the school’s gravel parking lot.
7/23 - A man said that his wife, from whom he is separated, broke his $800 TV. The officer’s report notes probable cause to arrest the woman for malicious mischief.
