Grant County business owners have two more days to apply for up to $10,000 in a second round of COVID-19 relief grant money through Grant County to make up for costs associated with the pandemic, including lost revenue.
County commissioners set aside $2.5 million of the county’s $5 million in federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act money to go toward small businesses (20 employees or fewer) and nonprofit organizations.
The Grant County Economic Development Council developed the application process for the funds.
“These dollars can be used for loss of revenue and are intended to help small businesses and nonprofits during this unprecedented and difficult time,” a July 22 press release from the EDC reads.
Up to 250 businesses will be granted the awards, and 50 businesses submitted for the first round of awards.
The deadline for applying for the second round of funding is Aug. 21, and the deadline for a third round will be Sept. 14.
The application is available at http://www.grantedc.com.
