5/29 - Police drove to Osborne Bay for a noise complaint of loud music playing. Police heard music playing somewhere in the area upon arrival, but then it stopped. Police waited to see if the music started again, but it did not.
- A catalytic converter was sawed off the muffler of a business’ delivery truck.
- Police pulled over a car suspected of being driven under the influence because of some erratic lane travel and sudden braking. The driver did not appear intoxicated but was tired and wearing medical scrubs. She said she would pull over to rest if she felt she couldn’t drive safely.
5/31 - Police received a report of a camper being towed by a Chevy truck and leaking sewage while driving toward Electric City. An officer had driven from the reported location to a gas station when he responded to the report and hadn’t noticed any such thing. Then, driving toward Electric City, he didn’t see any signs of leaking sewage either.
- A Grand Coulee officer assisted a tribal officer in an incident at the casino in Coulee Dam where a man was said to have hit his girlfriend in the face in the parking lot. A visible injury was on the woman’s face. The man was taken by the tribal officer to tribal jail.
6/1 - A “neighbor kid” crashed his four-wheeler into another man’s Chevy Silverado pickup truck. The matter was being handled civilly by the involved parties. Damage was done to the driver fender and wheel areas.
- A black truck was reported to have spun around on the public beach at Crescent Bay before taking off towards Coulee Dam at a high rate of speed.
6/2 - Police explained to a Hill Street woman that her ex-boyfriend taking items, including a paddle board and boat title, was a civil issue as they were living together. The woman later reported she spoke to the ex-boyfriend and he said he would bring the paddle board back and that taking the boat title was an accident.
6/3 - A woman reported that while driving down the Wilbur hill, a white Enterprise van was driving inches from her bumper. She pulled into the Chevron in Grand Coulee and the van did as well. A man got out and started yelling at her, using profanities, saying she was going 55 miles per hour in a 60 mph zone. When the woman said she was calling the police, the man left, heading north on SR-155.
6/4 - People were suspected of smoking meth in the laundry room at Coulee Playland. Police spoke to people there who said they were just doing laundry. Police didn’t see any drugs or paraphernalia in the laundry room.
- Grand Coulee officers assisted Lincoln County officers by responding to Lakeview Terrace, where a woman said that her husband, a man in his late 70s, had hit her multiple times before taking off in a Nissan. The car was found on a nearby dirt road. The man attempted to drive away but pulled over another mile away. Police waited for the arrival of LIncoln County officers, who arrested him and took him to Lincoln County Jail.
6/5 - Police spoke to a couple on Dill Avenue who had been in an argument, but both said that the argument had not turned physical.
6/6 - A clear pipe with crystal residue was reported found at the Hill Avenue apartments. Police took the pipe and disposed of it.
Coulee Dam
5/24 - Fishing poles and a PlayStation 2 were reported stolen from a Cedar Street garage, with the total value estimated to be less than $100.
5/25 - Police spoke to a man sitting in his vehicle drinking a beer while parked at the school. The man admitted to having one drink of beer. The officer poured out the rest of the beer and advised the man to go home and to not bring alcohol onto school property.
5/30 - An officer explained to a Camas Street woman that she would have to ask another woman to leave her residence or go through a formal eviction process after the complainant explained that she wanted the other woman out of the house because she had taken her car without her permission.
6/1 - An officer spoke to a couple who had been fighting near a car on Birch Street. The fight was verbal only and the woman had thrown some things out of the car onto the ground. The man was picking the items up when the officer arrived.
- A man on Fir Street said he was cleaning his motorcycle in the driveway and sitting on it when another man pulled in with his car and hit the back of his bike and just kept going. The man wasn’t injured. Police collected insurance, license, and registration information from both men. The driver of the car was in the house. He appeared intoxicated and kept saying that he was on private property. The man with the motorcycle was given a collision report to fill out.
6/2 - A driver was in his car on the side of the road at the intersection of Columbia and Douglas Avenues waiting for traffic to clear before turning left onto Douglas. Forgetting to check his mirror a second time, he turned and hit an oncoming car on the passenger door. There were no injuries. He was cited for not having insurance.
- A fire started in a yard on Walnut Street from the resident’s cigarette butt. The fire got close to the home. The fire department mopped up the fire. Burned grass was the only damage mentioned in the police report.
6/5 - The owner of a dentist building on 6th Street found a meth pipe on the steps and found out a woman was staying on the property in a tent. She was banned from the property.
