News, views and advertising of the Grand Coulee Dam Area
It’s that time of year again when we dust off our boots and compete against our neighbors in all sorts of animals, crafts, cooking and what-not contests at the Okanogan County Fair.
The Okanogan County Fair Advisory Committee would like to take this opportunity to invite everyone to join us at our 74th annual fair, Sept. 9-12.
As we prepare to celebrate, we reflect on the many challenges we have faced leading up to this year’s event. From wildfires to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are “Okanogan County Strong.”
Like many, we look forward to the fair all year long and can’t wait for the weekend after Labor Day to roll around so we can see all of the exhibitors show and compete in their events, take in some rodeo action, stroll the vendors in the Agriplex, catch a show on the stage, indulge in the food court and visit with our friends and families who come to our fair.
This year, because of the ongoing pandemic, we are encouraging fairgoers to be mindful of COVID-19. Masks, sanitizers and additional handwashing stations will be available throughout the fairgrounds. We want attendees and participants to stay safe and set an example for others.
We extend our thanks to Queen Whitney Wilson, longtime supporters, participants, volunteers, barn and department superintendents, county commissioners, and everyone who helps make the fair happen. We feel it is very important to enrich the lives of our youth with these wonderful activities and help them make choices for their future.
We hope to see you at the fair!
