What's going on at the library?

Keep Smizing! No, that’s not a typo … it’s just us appreciating seeing your eyes light up when you visit us at the library! While we miss seeing your actual smiles, we are committed to providing valuable resources and services in our communities — and the best way for us to do that is if you keep wearing a mask when you visit. Thank you for helping us stay open.

Feeling Lucky?

We are excited to announce the start of our new Lucky Day collection! Do you love reading newly released books or watching the latest movies? Then this collection is for you! The Lucky Day collection puts extra copies of newly released books and DVDs into our library branches directly, rather than to people who have placed those materials on hold. Visit your local library this week and pick up something new — if you’re lucky!

P.S. If you prefer placing items on hold, don’t worry! We’ll still buy the same number of regularly circulating popular materials as we always have, so wait times won’t change.

Do you have children in school or college? Are you continuing your education or taking classes to learn new skills? This fall we urge you to think of your library card as an essential school supply! Whether you’re headed to the classroom or are learning at home, NCW Libraries offers a broad range of physical and digital resources for students, parents and educators. Please check out our homeschool and back-to-class resources!

Reading Challenges

NCW Libraries hosts reading challenges every month! Cozy up with some great books in October by joining our Fall in Love With Reading and Hispanic Heritage Month challenges.
