Pastor Juliene Annette Munts, 56, Wife, Mother, Daughter, and Joyful Minister to all whom she met, passed away Tuesday morning October 5, 2021, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Juliene entered this world Wednesday, November 4. 1964, in Nampa, Idaho to the home of Ronald & Corinna Hunter. Raised in Grand Coulee, Washington where her parents ministered at Grand Coulee Church of the Nazarene, Juliene attended Grand Coulee Schools, kindergarten through 12th grade, graduating from Lake Roosevelt High School in 1983. Inspired by her high school English and Art teachers, Juliene went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree from University of Fairbanks Alaska, majoring in English with a minor in Art.
An avid photographer who loved sunsets, Juliene traveled the word and after living and ministering with her husband Philip in Sweden for several years, in 2019 she returned to Grand Coulee, where she and Philip co-pastored her childhood home: Grand Coulee Church of the Nazarene.
Juliene’s legacy lives on through her beloved husband and partner in ministry, Philip Munts; children: Natassja Uraine, Anastasia Herrig, and Hunter Munts; parents: Dr. Ronald J. and Corinna Hunter; brother: Ronald Hunter Jr. and all of those whose lives she touched for eternity.
Family Graveside services were held at Spring Canyon Cemetery in Grand Coulee, Washington. A celebration of Juliene’s life will be held at 3:00pm, Saturday October 23rd, 2021, at Grand Coulee Church of the Nazarene.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation in Juliene’s memory to the Juliene (Hunter) Munts Scholarship at Northwest Nazarene University.
