Police

10/19 - A man reported being followed from Coulee Dam by a white Chrysler. He said that when he pulled into Safeway, the Chrysler pulled into the post office across the street and the driver got out and began filming him and his family. He confronted the driver and they exchanged words before the other driver drove off. The man just wanted the incident documented.

- Police received permission from the owner of an abandoned trailer on King Street to search it anytime and were told that no one should ever be inside of it. Police had previously received reports of suspicious activity and people coming in and out of the trailer.

10/20 - A Grand Avenue property owner reported vehicles left on his property. The vehicles are registered to another Grand Avenue resident and someone else known by police to have stayed with him. Police were unable to contact those people, and are recommending a littering charge for them if the vehicles aren’t moved.

- Police spoke with people with car problems at Spokane Way and SR-155. Police told them they’d have to keep their car out of the roadway if they couldn’t fix their car issues or have it towed. There were kittens in the car. The car was later reported as partially blocking the roadway and the people were gone. The kittens were still in the car, and taken to an animal outreach facility in Moses Lake where the owners can claim them. The vehicle was towed.

10/21 - A hospital patient who had been in a trauma room left behind some heroin and a pipe. Police collected those items and will give the patient a Washington Recovery Helpline card if they see her.

- Police didn’t see anyone in the area of a Second Street residence where a suspicious person was reportedly seen near the entrance.

10/22 - Police spoke to a man banging on a door at the Skydeck Motel. The man had been locked out of the room by a woman, and he wanted his glasses back. He was given his glasses, and police gave him a ride to Burdin Boulevard.

10/23 - A Grand Coulee Avenue woman reported a scam. She received a phone call from someone with a voice that sounded like her daughter saying that she was with a Mexican cartel, and that they wanted a credit card number before they would release her. She then called her daughter to make sure she was OK. She noted that the voice on the phone sounded like her daughter, making the call seem real.
