LR girls beat Pateros in soccer

The Lady Raiders soccer team defeated Pateros last week in Grand Coulee with a final score of 3-2. 

"It was a great game," Assistant Coach Merlee Liberty said. "The girls did an amazing job fighting through fatigue. We were short a couple of girls, so we weren't able to sub in and out to give the girls breaks as much as we usually can. I am very proud of how hard they worked this game."

The game took place during the team's "senior night" Thursday, with seniors on the team including Almeta Desautel, Sadi Trotter, and Glad Eyes Williams.

The Lady Raiders were scheduled to play at Liberty Bell yesterday, results of which will be published next week. 

They enter playoffs on Saturday at 11 a.m. with an opponent and location still to be decided.

LR is ranked fifth in the Central Washington 2B league with a 3-4 win-loss record in the league, 4-7 overall. 

Volleyball loses two on the road 

The Lady Raiders volleyball team lost a pair of road games this past week, in Manson and Okanogan.

On Oct. 19, the Lady Raiders lost in three sets to Manson

On Oct. 21, the Lady Raiders lost a 3-2 nailbiter to Okanogan. 

A home game with Brewster scheduled for yesterday will be reported next week.

District playoffs begin Nov. 2 with times, teams, and locations still to be determined.

LR is ranked 4th in the Central Washington 2B league with a 6-5 win-loss record in the league, 7-5 overall. 

Raiders defeat Manson Trojans

The Raider football team defeated the Manson Trojans in Manson game Oct. 22 with a 15-6 final score.

The Raiders have a 4-3 win-loss record so far for the season. 

The Lake Roosevelt team is ranked second in the Central Washington 2B league behind only the Okanogan Bulldogs, who are undefeated this season with an 8-0 record.

A home game is scheduled against the number-three Brewster Bears, who have a 2-5 record, on Saturday, Oct. 30, at 4 p.m.
