Brewster squeaks by Lady Raiders in five sets

The Lady Raiders volleyball team lost 3-2 in their regular season closer against Brewster Oct 26 in Coulee Dam, losing by only two in the final set.

"It was just a night where our little things that we usually work on weren't clicking," Head Coach Meagan Caudell said. "As for a learning experience, we know what we have to work on now going into playoffs."

Caudell praised Emma Marchand and Audrey Hansen on their leadership the game. "They really left everything out on that court for their team and I was extremely proud of them. Nevaeh English also did an awesome job digging in our back row. She defensively has grown so much this past year, I am so excited to see her work in playoffs and grow throughout the next couple of years with how young she is."

The game was played on the team's senior night, with senior volleyball players including Audrey Hansen, Emma Marchand, Desiree George, Katelyn Donaglia, Aehsley Pituraschatit, Larissa Ensminger, Raeanne Joe, and with statistician Reniff Herndon.

The Lady Raiders entered playoffs yesterday in Manson against Tonasket.

Depending on results from games on Tuesday, the Lady Raiders may qualify for continued playoff play on Saturday in Chelan.
