News, views and advertising of the Grand Coulee Dam Area
The Grand Coulee Dam Area will see some pre-Thanksgiving turkeys trotting through the area Saturday, Nov. 20, when a new event will kick off to support the food bank and encourage healthy living.
Electric City resident and college freshman Kaidyn Johnson is heading up the charitable event for the area.
She would “like to give back to the community … and bring a little healthy entertainment to the area,” Johnson said.
All proceeds will benefit the local Food Bank. Local 501c3 organization Run the Dam is sponsoring and assisting her mission to support healthy outdoor activities in the Coulee.
Trot the Coulee starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, from North Dam Park. Pre-registration can be found at an Eventbrite page linked in this story online, or search for Grand Coulee Turkey Trot 5k Fun Run/Walk Tickets, Sat, Nov 20, 2021 at 9:00 AM | Eventbrite.
Use promo code GIVE to receive an additional 10% off the registration fee. By using the promo code, you are agreeing to donate a non-perishable food item to the local Care & Share Food Bank.
Finisher awards and event shirts are all part of the fun. For additional information, contact Kaidyn Johnson at 509-237-8128.
