Grand Coulee
12/1 - Police killed an injured deer on SR-174 near milepost 20. A nearby citizen was allowed to “harvest” the animal.
- Police responded to Silver Drive on a report of animal cruelty. Police spoke to a man who showed playful, healthy puppies to police. He said he disciplines the dogs but doesn’t beat or abuse them. Police didn’t see any signs of abuse.
- A screen had been pried loose from an apartment door on Hill Avenue to gain access. The resident reported missing about $300 and a gold necklace. She named a possible suspect who is related to her and requested extra patrols.
12/2 - Police checked on a woman sleeping on the ground near MPH Auto. The woman at first said she fell, but she was wrapped in blankets. She then said she came from a motel, and then from Safeway. The woman left without incident. She was later reported as behaving strangely at the senior center, where someone contacted someone who may be able to help her.
12/3 - Police spoke to a woman at a Center Lodge motel room who had been allowed to sleep an hour past checkout time, but still hadn’t left and wanted to sleep some more. The room had been reserved for that day, and needed to be cleaned. She eventually left without incident.
12/5 - People fishing in the North Dam Park/Banks Lake Park area were unaware that they couldn’t be there at night because there aren’t any signs saying so, the police report states. They left without incident.
12/6 - Police saw a loose husky-type dog on Roosevelt Drive, dragging a chain and a corkscrew style anchor. The dog was friendly. Police were going to take the dog to a shelter in Moses Lake until someone in the neighborhood recognized the dog and knew its owner. He contacted the owner and took control of the dog until the owner came home.
- Police told a woman on Burdin Boulevard that she had been reported as driving recklessly after being said to have almost struck a U.S. Bureau of Reclamation vehicle on SR-155 somewhere near the Grand Coulee Dam. She wasn’t charged with anything.

11/30 - Police went to Lake Roosevelt Schools where parents complained of a pitbull running at large, scaring kids who were leaving school. A tribal animal control officer took control of the dog.
12/5 - A man reportedly pushed a woman on Central Drive. Police didn’t see any signs of violence. The man said he wanted some of his things and the woman wouldn’t let him get them. Tribal police took over once they arrived at the scene.
