LR golf hits the links at Oroville

Lake Roosevelt golfers hit the links Monday at the Oroville Golf Course where they competed with golfers from Oroville, Okanogan and Waterville.

Terek Bush took third for the boys with 49 strokes over nine holes, with Oroville’s Will Moreau finishing in only 43 strokes.

“Great day of golf yesterday,” Head Coach Steve Files said. “The course was in terrific shape, and the weather was very nice (though windy) for this time of year. This is the first year in a long time we have enough boys for a varsity team, so that’s pretty exciting for sure. We’re off to a great start this season.”

Files noted the Raiders just brought on Lyndsey Mitchell as an assistant coach. “She’s going to be a tremendous asset to our program.”
