The Lady Raiders are a force to be reckoned with, having defeated Wilbur-Creston 18-2 on Saturday in Creston.
LR scored three runs in the first inning, an incredible 11 runs in the third, and four more in the fourth inning to end the game early.
The Ladies hit well at the plate.
Halle Albert hit a triple and a single; Sawyer Steffens hit a single; Emma Marchand hit a single, two doubles, and a triple; Aaliyah Marchand hit a couple doubles; Presley Steffens hit a double; and Peyton Jake, Desiree George, Nautika Brown, Cora Nicholson and Taylor Thomas-Vargas all hit singles.
“Our hitting finally came together today,” Head Coach Jaci Gross said. “Emma had a great game at the plate. Great team effort today!”
Pitching for the Lady Raiders were Presley Steffens, who struck out five and allowed just one hit, and Marchand, who struck out two and allowed just one hit.
The Lady Raiders have a 5-2 overall win-loss record, 2-1 in the Central Washington 2B league.
They are behind Okanogan who is 7-0 overall, 5-0 in the league.
Currently on spring break, LR doesn’t play again until April 11 at 4:30 p.m. in Pateros.
