2022-23 school calendars approved

Lake Roosevelt Schools’ proposed 2022-23 calendar went through its final reading by the Grand Coulee Dam School District board of directors on April 11 and was approved. 

The Nespelem School Board approved that district’s calendar for the next school year March 31.

The GCDSD calendar shows the first day of the next school year starting for students on Aug. 31, 2022 and the last day as June 16, 2023. 

When school gets out on Dec. 16, school will be out until Jan. 2, 2023 when school resumes. 

When school gets out on March 31, 2023. 

Spring break in 2023 will run from March 31 until April 10. 

Fridays will continue to be early-release days, with students out at 1:05 p.m.

Superintendent Paul Turner said that in surveying parents and staff, everyone wants to continue the early releases. 

Nespelem School’s calendar shows students’ first day in class next fall will be Aug. 24, after a “Welcome Back BBQ” the day before.

The last day of class will be June 8, 2023.

Christmas Break begins Dec. 19. Students return Jan. 3, 2023.

The school is continuing its four-day weekly class schedule with Fridays off for students.
