Masquers latest play based on a true story

Masquers Theater is proud to present Melanie Marnich’s “These Shining Lives”.  This play is based on the true story of four women who worked for the Radium Dial company during the 1920s and 30s. The play follows the ups and downs of these hardworking women in and out of work.  Experience the struggles working for this watch making company and the sad side-effects of the toxic chemical radium. Come see and understand how history was made, and watch one of the first stepping stones for “employee rights” be set!

We welcome back Mistya Zaleski, after a long hiatus who plays Catherine Donohue, the lead and narrator for this story.   Masquers newcomer CW Forrest plays her husband. Stage veteran Allison Pheasant returns playing Charlotte Purcell.  Abby Burlingame comes from the Grand Coulee area to play Frances O’Connell.  Another newcomer, Destiny Bunney, portrays Pearl Payne. The rest of the cast in the show are Jason and Olivia Noble, Pat Rosman, Dino Gonzales, Emily Forrest, and Haliey Weber. This is the directorial debut for Cynthia Beyer and her assistant director is Kat Stahl.

This show opens April 22nd and runs through May 8th. Tickets are only $16 for adults and $12 for students and seniors. They are available online at www.masquers.com or by calling 509-246-2611.  Starting times are Friday and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sunday Matinees at 2pm .
