GCHS Alumni scholarships awarded

Grand Coulee High School Alumni Association has awarded scholarships in the amount of $500 each to  three 2022 Lake Roosevelt High School graduating seniors.  Receiving awards this year are Showaway Hunt, Kaitlyn Nordine, and Aehsley Piturachsatit.  Also selected to receive a $500 scholarship was Henry Preston, a senior at Ballard High School in Seattle.

Henry’s eligibility to apply for the scholarship is based on his grandfather David Jurgensen’s enrollment in Grand Coulee School District 55 before consolidation with Coulee Dam.  Henry is the son of David and Jill’s daughter Kim who graduated from Lake Roosevelt High School in 1988 and her husband Ron Preston. Dave graduated from Grand Coulee High School in 1964.

Showaway is the son of Rebecca and Jeremy Hunt.  Parents of Kaitlyn are John and Lori Nordine, and Aehsley is the daughter of Raehanne Piturachsatit and Nate Piturachsatit.
