Carly Neddo represented Lake Roosevelt statewide in the shot put and javelin, earning a medal by shattering her own personal record in the shot put.
Neddo competed at the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association’s 1B, 2B, 1A state track and field championships held May 26-28 at Eastern Washington University.
“On her third attempt,” Head Coach Lori Adkins said, “Carly busted a big ‘PR’ throw of 33 feet, 6.75 inches. This was a better mark than she brought into the tournament by two feet plus. The throw secured Carly’s appearance in the finals. She ended up earning the sixth-place medal. It was such an exciting day of competition!”
Neddo also placed 11th in the javelin event, throwing for a distance of 89 feet, 1 inch.
